Ojai Beverage Company

Ojai Beverage Company, or “OBC” is a must stop for anyone visiting Ojai, California. The restaurant is located in the back of the building, with a liquor store in front and the other half of the building occupied by an automotive store. Don’t let this fool you. Ojai Beverage is a nice, family friendly place to eat, I promise! I don’t know how to describe the liquor store portion properly, it’s the kind of place where you’ll find a wide variety to drink, but it isn’t “dive-y” in any way. It reminds me a lot of John’s Marketplace in Multnomah Village (Portland) if you’ve ever been. John’s Marketplace is the spot to find specialty beers- OBC is similar but a bit more upscale.

With a name like Ojai Beverage you would be right to assume that they have a wide selection of beverages and they live up to their name. They offer wine and beer tasting flights and have quite a few beers on tap but they also have really delicious food so teetotalers will never feel out of place here. I’ve never had a bad burger, sandwich or salad at Ojai Beverage Co. and quite enjoy their fries with aioli! The Mac and cheese is to die for. OBC is probably best known for their burgers but vegetarians and vegans will find plenty of options.

You can visit Ojai Beverage Company at 655 E Ojai Ave, on the east end of Downtown Ojai. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
